ROLES

[MR. BOWRY] 70s-80s, Male; After Jonah breaks into his vacation home, Mr. Bowry cloudily mistakes him for his son and doesn’t understand that he’s being held hostage. As this character suffers from dementia, we’re looking for a sophisticated actor.

[MRS. BOWRY] 60s-70s, Female; After Jonah breaks into their isolated vacation home, Mrs. Bowry must protect her dementiaafflicted husband and get through the night. She is clever and composed but the cracks start to show at their strained Christmas dinner.

[DALE] 20s early 30s, Male; Jonah’s self-involved coworker who waxes poetic about the importance of an MBA. Looking for actors with comedy backgrounds.

[RYAN] 70s-80s, Male; Marty’s grandfather and husband to Pauline. A kind, Mormon man who has been whittled down over the years to a shell of himself. Ryan’s only defense against his wife is to keep his mouth closed and retreat into his own mind. He goes through the motions of existence, occasionally perking up to enjoy his granddaughter’s smile. There’s a wise man in there somewhere.

[BILL WESTERN] 50s, Male; Wealthy homeowner who becomes an ally to the police. Used to live in Bozeman but decided to move into his vacation home after retirement so he could spend more time fly fishing. Lost his wife several years back and never remarried. He’s a good neighbor.

[DETECTIVE] 30s-40s, Male; Local detective on the murder case, interviews Jonah.

[OPHTHALMOLOGIST] 50s 70s, Male/Female; Eye doctor giving young Roxanne some tests, not warm.

[TEXAS HUSBAND] 50s, Male; Texan in town for fishing, very wealthy.

[TEXAS WIFE] 50s, Female; Wealthy Texan dragged north by her husband, and is not pleased about it.

[DOG OWNER] 30s-60s, Female; Overweight woman in front of Jonah at the animal shelter, waiting with her husky. She seems to think Jonah is strange.

[RANGER JOE FRIAR] 60s-70s, Male; Ranger with a gentle face, probably should have retired but likes to work part time. Encounters Jonah unknowingly.

[MORMON BISHOP] 50s-60s, Male; Mormon bishop in Jonah and Marty’s church. Performs services for Sundays and Memorials.

[LOCKEDOUT GUEST] 30s-40s, Female; Mother of three, dripping wet from the pool, waiting for Jonah to help her.

[RUDE GUEST] 20s-40s, Female; Rude hotel guest complaining to Jonah aggressively.

[YOUNG SON] 5-10, MALE; Young boy checking into the hotel with his mom.
