Filmmakers, Funders, and Talent: We are calling for submissions for our homegrown, 2018 Wild Rivers Film Tour. This year, during the 50th Anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, we plan to show the film tour at nine stops in Montana: Big Sky, Bozeman, Billings, Columbia Falls, Emigrant, Ennis, Livingston, Missoula, and Red Lodge, as well as the potential to visit a couple of venues in Idaho and Wyoming. Last year over 800 people attended our films, with a much smaller distribution.
In general, we are looking for short to medium length films that feature wild rivers, river culture, river recreation, and/or river conservation themes.
The Wild Rivers Film Tour is put on by the conservation nonprofits American Rivers and the Greater Yellowstone Coalition, in support of the coalition Montanans for Healthy Rivers. Our goal is not to turn a profit but to celebrate wild rivers and to inspire river conservation. Our WRFT Facebook page can be followed here for updates: www.facebook.com/WildRiversFilmTour. Thank you for your consideration. Please reach out with any questions!
