November 4-11, 2010


This fall marks a Film Office marketing trip to Los Angeles where four events are running concurrently: Film Independent's Filmmaker Forum with its IndieLink program, The American Film Market, the AFI Fest and the AFCI Cineposium. Film Office staff will be in Los Angeles marketing at these events, as well as partnering with Moving Pictures Magazine to host a filmmaker reception at AFI Fest. The Film Office is a principal sponsor of Film Independent's 6th Annual Filmmaker Forum, presented by indieWire, October 29-31 and will host an IndieLink table.

The Montana Film Office (MFO) returned to New York for IFP's Independent Film Week September 19-24. This annual five-day event in mid-town Manhattan brings together producers and directors from New York City and around the country.

HATCHfest

HATCHFEST

Sept 22-26, 2010


Montana's homegrown HATCHfest, now in its 7th year, took place in beautiful, downtown Bozeman on September 22-26. The Montana Film Office (MFO) is a proud sponsor of this audio-visual arts festival. MFO volunteer representatives hosted the Welcome to Montana Reception.

Recent Projects Filmed in Montana

Governor Brian Schweitzer's efforts to promote Montana as a premier filming destination have led to valuable television projects like "Man V. Food" and many others.

Man v. Food

The Travel Channel's "Man V. Food" made a stop in Historic Uptown Butte. Host Adam Richman tested his mettle against Trimbo's "Off the Hook Pizza" five-pound "Jumboli."

"POLARIS COMMERCIAL"

Polaris Commercial

Keep an eye out for the beautiful red barn in the backdrop of the new Polaris ATVs and Side-by-Sides commercial, which was shot near Great Falls, Montana in June.

US MARINE CORPS "FOR US ALL" COMMERCIAL


Bandito Brothers recently shot a U.S. Marine Corps commercial at the Northern Pacific Beanery in Livingston and on the Story Ranch in Emigrant, Montana. The production company filmed for two days in Park County and took advantage of Montana's Studio 406 Incentive Package. Read more


THE COOK HOUSE WITH MIKE AND MATT / GAMESAVER COMMERCIAL


Stafford Multimedia/Stafford Films returned to Big Sky Country to shoot a cooking show titled "The Cook House with Mike and Matt" that will be distributed on ESPN network and ESPN.com as well as a 30-second national spot for the new FoodSaver GameSaver. "The Cook House with Mike and Matt" episode was shot in a cabin along Portal Creek in the Gallatin Canyon. Read more
