FY 06 ADVERTISEMENTS

The award winning work consisted of:

• First Place in the Black/White Ad Campaign – Using the same creative format as the direct mail postcards, these black and white magazine ads are used in various sizes for magazine placement.
• Second Place in the Direct Mail Competition – In this series of four-color postcards, beautiful Montana scenery set behind one of 2 Montana characters, one holding a walkie talkie, and another holding a director's lens. (Please see below.)
• Second Place in the Promotional Items Competition – The film office took high honors with their leather coasters with the Montana Film Office Logo on the front. The leather patch logo resembles a blue-jeans patch and reads, “Montana, A Better Brand of Locations.”

“I am proud of the awards the Film Office won in the International Competition,” Program Manager Sten Iversen said. “This has been a very effective campaign for our office. It has generated an excellent response from the industry including an increase in phone calls and web traffic.”

Montana Film Office ads are featured in various industry trade publications such as AFCI Locations, Production Update, American Cinematographer, Creativity, and Hollywood Reporter.  They are also used as direct and promotional mailings. The images below are a few of the ads and mailings we have used to promote Montana for 2003.  The Montana Film Office advertising was recently honored at the Montana Addy Awards ceremony with 1 Gold Addy and 5 Silver Addys.
