Northwest Film Forum seeks an Executive Director to pilot the thriving, growing non-profit film organization. The Executive Director shapes the vision of the organization, oversees operations, spearheads development and fundraising, and acts as the organization’s chief advocate both internally and externally. Northwest Film Forum is a Seattle-based organization operating innovative and award-winning film exhibition, production, and education programs year-round. Annually the organization supports over 600 filmmakers, aids in the production of nearly 80 original works, exhibits more than 200 films, and offers more than 60 workshops. We are seeking a qualified candidate who is deeply passionate about film as art; knowledgeable about and experienced in film production, exhibition, and education; able to articulate and implement the vision of the organization; experienced in non-profit and film arts management; an excellent manager of human resources; and has a proven capacity for strategic planning and fundraising.

4th Annual Missoula Science Fiction Short Film Festival
Announces a Call for Entries

The Fourth Annual MisCon Short Film Festival is accepting submissions from filmmakers from around the world who seek an audience appreciative of the genres of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror. Submission is FREE and the deadline for Submissions is May 16th, 2008.

All submissions that meet our criteria will be screened for our audiences from May 23rd - May 26th, 2008. Submissions accepted into the competition will be shown Sunday, May 25th, starting at 4pm. There is a $5.00 fee for the general public to attend the two-hour Audience Award Competition. Filmmakers who have submitted work will be able to attend their scheduled showing and the competition free of charge.

Golf Coast Film Fest Announces Call for Entries

Gulf Coast Film Fest is announcing their call for entries. The Gulf Coast Film and Video Festival was created to showcase the discovery of new and emerging artists.

Our Goals Include:

Dates open for submission are from February 14 to May 1, 2008. Late entries (subject to late fee) accepted May 2 to June 27, 2008. No entries will be accepted after that. Montana CINE International Cultural & Environmental Film Festival
Announces a Call for Entries

CINE International is a cultural and environmental screenings film festival held every fall in Missoula and is now in its 5th year. Montana CINE International completes a global picture of why and how we live in our world and interact with our environment. While the International Wildlife Film Festival has a special focus with wildlife as the central theme, the subjects of Montana CINE International are broad, featuring issues that explore the human experience and peoples' relationships with nature and their environment.

There is no restriction on production year. Films may be entered whether or not they have been broadcast. Entry forms and information are available at www.wildlifefilms.org . You may also contact the International Wildlife Media Center at 406-728-9380 or iwmc@wildlifefilms.org.

HATCHfest is a year round non-profit organization, designed to develop and foster the growth of creative minds in various industries through mentorship, exposure, and networking. Montana Actor's Studio Meetings

Montana Actor's Studio meets the second Wednesday of the month at the Bozeman Public Library, in the small meeting room. M.A.S. is an informal gathering of film 'folk' of all ages. Our members are age 7 - 70's, and include film and theatre actors, film students and aficionados just interested in the business of making movies in Montana. Monthly meetings are designed for networking, to share ideas and information about the 'biz' and to meet actors and other film folk. The first meeting you attend is free. New happenings at the Studio include weekly audition exercises with casting director, Tina Buckingham and director Pascal Grapard.

Search for LAWN ART

Grand Prix Productions is gathering footage and digital photos for a new book and syndicated television series, which will be called, Lawn Art. They are looking for houses and properties in Montana that have displays of lawn art of any type: mechanical, wind aided, religious, electrical/battery operated, automotive, holiday*, political*, and/or most original. The lawn art can be quirky, humorous, scary, serious or down right silly. We want to see everything!

2008 South Dakota Film Festival Call for Entries

Submit your films to the second annual South Dakota Film Festival. Short film submissions and feature film submissions are being accepted in the categories of Animation, Documentaries and Narrative. Check ou the website for entry forms and deadlines. And plan to attend this year's festival!

South Dakota Film Festival is looking for films to headline this year's event. Emphasis will be given to submissions made in or by filmmakers from the Great Plains region (SD, MN, ND, IA, WY, NE). However, regional considerations are only one of many factors considered in the final draw of films chosen for the "South Dakota Film Festival". The "South Dakota Film Festival" will screen the "best" films submitted regardless of their geographic origin.

Entries will be accepted beginning March 1st and ending June 30th.
Festival takes place September 19-21 at Capitol Theatre, Alberdeen, SD.
