The old mining town of Philipsburg lies at an elevation of 5280 feet and is cradled within 3 mountain ranges, the Sapphire Mountains to the west, the Flint Range to the east, and the Pintler Mountains to the south. The roots of the area started as a booming mining town in the late 1800's which is made evident through the historic and beautiful buildings lining main street.
